FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Jim Hudson Lexus has invited six local non-profit groups to receive a holiday donation at a luncheon on Wednesday, December 20th at 11:30am. The event will take place in the conference room at Golden Harvest Food Bank on Commerce Road. Over $10,000 worth of gifts and direct donations will be presented in appreciation for programs which help people in need. The Board Members of these agencies will be in attendance, as well as Lexus team members from all departments. Members of the media are welcome to stop by for the brief presentation, which will begin at 11:40am. Any individual representing local media who are interested in staying for the lunch can RSVP to the contact number listed above.

The focal non-profit group for this year is Hope House, a multi-disciplinary, long-term treatment program for women and women with children who are trying to overcome the disease of addiction. All other recipient charities have a connection to Hope House, and support their efforts. Clients in the Hope House program also benefit from the work of the Salvation Army, Augusta Urban Ministries, Golden Harvest Food Bank, Safe Homes and the Art Factory. A connection between the groups will be shown, in order to underscore the importance of partnerships in helping families get back on their feet.

"Each of these organizations plays a role in helping families become independent. Jim Hudson Lexus is committed to being a part of that network,” comments Bill Gibbs, General Manager. “By leveraging our resources to the benefit of the community we serve, we hope that we can make a small difference to families in need during the holidays."
